About the Library

The Mount Angel Public Library is proud to serve both the City of Mount Angel and the surrounding community. We are a department of the City of Mount Angel (website).

Mount Angel Public Library is part of an 18 library cooperative called Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library System (CCRLS). Mount Angel Public Library's collection contains over 35,000 books, including bestsellers, classics, nonfiction, large print, children's materials, magazines and a Spanish language collection, as well as over 2000 audio-visual items, including DVDs, audiobooks and music CDs.

Mount Angel Public Library is also your portal to these great features:

  • Public computers with Internet access and free wi-fi connectivity throughout the library
  • Weekly children's programs including Family Storytime, Toddler Storytime and Lego Club
  • Summer Reading Programs with performers and special events for participants of all ages
  • Programs for adults, including classes and special events
  • Access to over a million holdings through CCRLS member libraries in Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties. Additional items can also be requested through interlibrary loan
  • Online databases and research tools covering a range of topics such as genealogy, languages, car repair and more! Most are accessible from your home computer with your library card and PIN number. 
  • Downloadable content such as e-books, audiobooks and other digital resources
  • Local history materials and exhibits showcasing the history and culture of the Mount Angel area
  • A welcoming environment with spaces for reading, study, and creativity
