Apply for a library card

It's quick and easy to apply for a library card!  Please bring your current photo I.D. (driver's license, state-issued I.D. or passport) with your current address so we can create your library account. If you do not have your current address in Mount Angel updated on your I.D., please bring along a current utility bill showing your address in addition to your photo I.D.

*If you live with the Mount Angel city limits, your city property taxes are supporting the library, and you will receive a full service library card (up to 50 items checked-out and 25 holds  at a time) for no additional fee.

*If you live outside the city limits of Mount Angel, you have several different options for getting a library card. If you are 14 years or younger, you can receive a library card for no charge which allows you to check out up to 25 children's and young adult materials at a time. This is a special program to encourage young people to have access to library materials, regardless of where they reside. People who are aged 15 years and up who reside out of the city of Mount Angel are also entitled to receive library card for no charge. This card allows check-out of 10 items at a time and access to placing 10 holds at a time on materials from other libraries in CCRLS. If you would like to upgrade to a full service card which allows additional checkouts, holds and full access to all the 18 library cooperative member locations, the annual fee per household is $60 (the amount that city residents pay annually in taxes to support the library). Patrons living outside of Polk, Marion or Yamhill county may qualify for an Oregon Library Passport card--ask for more details!

Please let us know if you have any questions about registering for a library card. We look forward to welcoming you to YOUR library!
